Devotion 8 | Stand

There are times in everyone’s life that you face something very overwhelming. You just want to run and hide. It can be school, work, home life, friends… things can just be hard sometimes.

For me it was my home life that was rough at times, but there was a  scripture that I always ran to in those moments.

This scripture was written by David after God had saved Him from his enemies. This has stuck with me in all my times of need and I stand on it because it is true.

Ps 18:1-3
1I love you, Lord;
you are my strength.
2The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;
my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.
He is my shield, the power that saves me,
and my place of safety.
3I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise,
and he saved me from my enemies.

There is just something about knowing that God is my fortress and and my rock and that when I call He will save me or when I am weak He is my strength.

It really was a game changer in my life.  I walked around with a confidence that allowed me to take on things that normally I wouldn’t

Take Action
